IRS TO DELAY TAX FILING SEASON

The Government shut down that took place this year will have an impact on the start of 2014 tax season.  Like last year the IRS has pushed back the start day to Jan. 30, 2014 before ANY tax preparer can E-file a tax return.  The IRS will also still have to wait on Congress to finalize all of the last minute tax laws before accepting tax returns.  This may cause additional delays but we are being told tax season should start NO later than Feb. 4th, 2014.  Check out the IRS website at www.irs.gov for updates.
